Battle Royale was a hoot.
There is a write-up of the format on TheMotorhood
Was run with 3 different competitions:
Battle Royale battle pools - Format just like a rugby 7's competition - winner and runner up from each pool to a top 8 elimination. Winner takes all.
Big Entry Competition - Who can pull off the biggest, craziest, fastest entries into the hairpin
Team Drift - Teamed crews run the section as close together as possible.
JAPRACE DRIFTSOUTH 2015/16 SEASON
And that's a wrap!.
With the final round ending on the 'sweeper challenge' there was sure to be some pretty epic door-tapping battles that everyone has been striving for this season.
And the guys didn't disappoint.
Congratulations must be extended to Joel Counter for taking the season championship once again
Daniel Currie for winning the round (2nd for season)
Dan Robinson for squeezing in a podium 3rd spot (with some crazy chases) after a comeback
And Neeeiiill Walmsley rolling in 4th (and taking 3rd for season)
Thanks extend to Japrace, Canterbury Car Club, MScott Imports and Demon Energy - for prizes/giveaways and who without them the rounds would not be possible
And of course loyal fans, drivers, media personal (pics/print/blogs) and volunteers that make the series what it is
Next stop, Battle Royale - Hopefully to shape up as a day full of head to head Battle Pools
More to come...

DRIFT SOUTH DEVELOPMENT SERIES
New to the format is the Drift South Development Series.
Basically the same as the old Street Legal, open to almost anyone who wants to come out and compete. You get 2 practice sessions and then a session of judged laps to give you a final score. Top 3 placings get the prize money.
You must have some track drift experience, preferably from a Drift School
Requirements: Road cars and track cars are able to compete if they meet a few basic requirements:
Road cars must have a WOF, bolted down battery and an approved fire extinguisher - bolted through the floor. They will be scrutineered to make sure everything is safe.
Competition cars may be used and must meet the same requirements as Pro Drift.
Personal safety requirements include a minimum of clean 100% cotton overalls and an approved helmet. (See Schedule A to find the regulations for helmets and all other requirements)
